I also do my own self-motivated projects.

It's not always about making money. In some ways I'd rather my artistic practice wasn't about money at all as there's more than enough going on in the world to occupy a creative mind.

When I'm not having to earn a crust I get on with my own self-motivated work - sometimes serious, sometimes fun (often a little of both). 
This side of my practice is way more experimental, curious and thought provoking for me. It's much more about my experience living as a human being in the world, and what I find visually powerful.
I live for this rather than money, but it naturally feeds into the commercial work I do, often giving it strength & purpose.
